Vania Asenova
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, EVENTS
As Account Director of Events, Vania provides event planning and management services to a range of private and public sector clients.
​
With a successful background in both in-house and agency communications, Vania has chalked up a number of high-profile wins for companies across Alberta in her career so far. With over eighteen years of experience in the event industry, Vania has seamlessly executed a wide range of events, from diplomatic affairs, fundraisers and themed awards nights, to managing entire conferences and complex public stakeholder events.
Prior to launching B5 Communications, Vania managed the marketing division at a local events firm and worked as a PR account manager for more than eight years at one of the most respected creative and PR agencies in Canada.
Vania holds a diploma in Public Relations from MacEwan University and a BA in Literature. ​Vania is also the past president for the Edmonton Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Andrea McDonald
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, PR
As Account Director of PR, Andrea executes a range of event types and sizes while providing a full suite of public relations services including media relations and promotion.
Prior to co-launching B5 Communications, Andrea held a senior role at a top Alberta PR agency. Andrea has international media experience, working as an account executive with Gorkana in London, England where she managed the editorial contacts at several major daily publications. Andrea also honed her organizational, writing and issues management expertise while leading the communications for the Slave Lake Wildfire recovery project.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the History of Art, Design and Visual Culture from the University of Alberta as well as a diploma in Public Relations from MacEwan University.
